Liberty Township Public Notice Removing the Truck Restrictions on Bullfrog Road and Solicitation Regulations

Please take notice that the Liberty Township Board of Supervisors shall be considering enactment of Ordinances removing the truck weight restriction on Bullfrog Road and adding a Chapter providing for solicitation regulations in the Township during the regular meeting of the Board on October 1, 2024. The meeting shall start at 6:00 p.m. prevailing time and will be held at the Township offices, 39 Topper Road, Fairfield, (Adams County), Pennsylvania, 17320.
Please take further notice that copies of the proposed ordinances may be examined without charge or obtained for a charge not greater than the cost thereof from the Township Secretary at the Township office building. AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF LIBERTY, ADAMS COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, REMOVING THE TRUCK WEIGHT RESTRICTION ON BULLFROG ROAD, T-321
The introductory paragraphs for the Ordinance set forth the legal authority for enacting the Ordinance.
SECTION 1 amends Section 328-18 of the Code by deleting the weight restriction requirement for Bullfrog Road, Township Route 321.
SECTION 2 provides that all other sections of the Code shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTIONS 3, 4 and 5 provide repealer, severability and effective date provisions.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF LIBERTY TO PROVIDE PEDDLING AND SOLICITING REGULATIONS FOR LIBERTY TOWNSHIP
SECTION 209-1 contains definitions for several terms.
SECTIONS 209-2 and 3 provide that it shall be unlawful to solicit without a license and provide exceptions for farmers, charities, and insurance companies.
SECTION 209-4 contains application requirements.
SECTIONS 209-5 and 6 contain requirements dealing with issuance of a License and License documents.
SECTION 209-7 deals with appeals if a license is denied.
SECTIONS 209-8 and 209-9 provide hours for solicitation and prohibited conduct.
SECTION 209-10 provides that residents may prohibit solicitation by posting signs.
SECTION 209-11 contains violations and penalties.
The last three (3) sections contain effective date, repealer and savings and severability sections.
